Testimonials
Our events have a positive impact on our community!
For several years, I was able to work with the North Shore Juneteenth Association, as a teacher, spreading awareness about the Juneteenth holiday and sharing positive images of Black American culture through storytelling within our community. By hosting paint parties, young children and their families received step-by-step instruction for painting the Juneteenth flag. With each step, they learned about the historic symbolism found within its design, and were able to ask questions and become more engaged within the community.
